1897 Victorian Sapphire & Diamond Navette Ring — Chester Hallmarked, Size N

Fully hallmarked for Chester 1897, this entirely handmade Victorian ring is a masterclass in traditional jewellery craft. Three violet-blue sapphires are bead-set in a domed navette (boat-shaped) setting, flanked by two old-cut diamonds — one old single cut, one rose cut — their different cuts a charming hallmark of authentic antique work. The shoulders are beautifully engraved, and the whole piece glows with the warm patina of 125 years of history.

Victorians adored rings and wore them on any finger that fitted — this is a right-hand ring, following the ancient tradition of the finger ring. The bead setting, navette shape, and engraved shoulders are all deeply traditional forms, chosen with intention by the craftsman who made this piece in 1897.
